How to use ComplyCloud's Dashboard
When you log into ComplyCloud, the first thing you see is the dashboard, which provides an overview of your organization's compliance status. All data on the Dashboard is based on tasks (more on this later), and you can easily access your own or all company tasks at the top, as highlighted below:
The ComplyScore
Although there is no measurable legal requirement for how "compliant" a company should be, the ComplyScore provides a practical benchmark of how much you've progressed with your compliance tasks based on completed and overdue tasks. This also allows you to compare your performance with other organizations in your industry.
The ComplyScore provides a snapshot (on a scale from 0–10) of your completed tasks over the past year compared to overdue tasks.
Note: The ComplyScore is calculated based on all your tasks across Privacy and Security, using the following formula:
ComplyScore =
(Completed tasks / (Completed tasks + Overdue tasks)) x 10
This means that if you have many completed tasks and few or no overdue tasks, your ComplyScore will be high. Conversely, the score will be low if you have many overdue tasks.
Note: The industry average is calculated based on ComplyCloud’s knowledge of industry data. Depending on the industry selected for your organization within the platform, the relevant average will be displayed for comparison.
ComplyScore progress:
The graph displays your overall ComplyScore, month by month, compared to the industry average, broken down into Privacy and Security. This allows you to track whether your ComplyScore is rising or falling over time.
Note: If you only have access to either the Privacy or Security module, only data from the relevant module will be shown in the graph.
Task Status
This section provides an overview of your tasks over the past 30 days and the next 30 days, offering a snapshot of whether you are behind on tasks or have them under control.
You can switch between the status of all tasks or filter by Privacy or Security. The modules can be toggled as shown in the above screenshot.
Note: If you only have access to either the Privacy or Security module, only data from the relevant module will be shown.
Task Overview
This section gives an overview of task statuses based on categories within Privacy and/or Security. Here you can deep dive into overdue and completed tasks from the past 12 months. This allows you to identify areas where you should focus your efforts. You can access tasks for each category directly from this overview.
Note:
If you have created a task without assigning it a category, that task will not be included in this overview. You can easily add categories to tasks by going to the task and clicking:

- Edit
- Categories
From there, you can select the relevant task category from the list, as shown below:
